Un monde d'aquarelles - A world of watercolours
Using watercolours is like using thin panes of translucid coloured glass laid on a sheet of paper. Watercolours allow the perfect rendering of emotions following the softness of the brush strokes and the quantity of pigments. On dry paper or on wet paper, its gentleness allows the painter to detail a subject or to give a visual impression of it following the touches of colours mixing together. Accidents happen sometimes when certain pigments react together but the effects are often surprising and pleasing! Most of the landscapes and seascapes on this page were made while I was living on Zakynthos island, in Greece.
